Objective: It is a custom designed intensive training program to sharpen the skills of candidates striving to get through UGC – NET exam in the midst of new pattern that increases the importance of Paper I and the time pressure on test takers. The Walnut provides outstanding training programs in associations with Colleges, Universities and Academies.

In July 2018 examination, a total of 63 candidates qualified, 54 with Lectureship and 9 with JRF through the training programs run by ‘The Walnut’ exclusively for Paper-1, at Baselius College Kottayam, Marian College Kuttikkanam, St. Thomas College Pala, St. Stepehens College Uzhavoor, Apple B Academy, and Sarga Kshetra Academy Changanacherry. In November 2017 exam, a total of 42 candidates qualified, 34 with Lectureship and 8 with JRF.

Paper I (Common Paper): Training for all the ten areas comes under Paper I of humanities (Commerce, Languages, Arts, All Subjects under Social Sciences, Computer Science, Psychology etc)
Paper II (Subject Paper): Training for chosen subjects such as Commerce and Management.
